New: Nordic Circular Transition Groups

The newly launched Nordic Circular Transition Groups give our partners the chance to get ahead of the curve and influence how circularity is developed and realised in the Nordic markets. You can now find out more information at nordiccircularhotspot.org/transition-groups.

In May 2022, NCH launched its new Transition Groups. They facilitate a collaborative approach to a faster circular transition across all value chains in the Nordic markets. As a part of the NCH Partner Programme, the Transition Groups give our partners a unique opportunity to get involved hands-on and aim to put circular principles at the centre of rethinking our current, linear business models. The groups are designed for different interest groups to knowledge-share and build the competence to be recognised as future leaders in the circular transition.

How do the Transition Groups Work?
The Transition Groups are our systemic and strategic approach to moving from linear value creation into circular and sustainable models across all market spheres in the Nordics. By putting the action directly into the hands of the relevant industries and actors, we will accelerate the Nordic circular transition and increase our impact.

The group meetings and workshops can be attended digitally to enable efficient collaboration across the region. Each Transition Group is co-led by a highly-experienced managing partner from the Nordic Circular Hotspot together with a subject specialist.

Currently, we have launched 4 pilot groups on the following subjects:

  1. Leadership for Circular Transition

  2. Bill of Materials Systems

  3. Policy and Regulating Circularity – The Nordic Regulative Overview

  4. Constructing Circularity – The New Built Environment in the Nordics

With the Partner Programme and the Transition Groups, we want to build momentum, enable action and inspire knowledge-sharing in a concrete way. In the future, we will cover a wide-range of interests and topics ranging from city life, mobility and finance to key materials such as wood and plastic.

The Transition Groups and the Partner Programme

The Nordic Circular Hotspot Partner Programme is a ten-year, multi-stakeholder collaboration programme designed for a strategic, systemic and efficient circular market transition to secure sustainable development in the Nordics. Launched one year ago, it has now grown to include around 70 highly-valued members from all around the Nordic region. The Partner Programme is a key element of the Nordic Circular Hotspot – created to inspire and facilitate collaboration across nations, industries and sectors.
