Agnese Alksne-Bensone

Ten years ago, she co-founded CSR Latvia, and five years ago, she launched the "Responsible Business Ambassadors" program, through which more than 70 sustainability initiatives have been introduced to support business development. She has educated over 1,000 representatives from both the public and private sectors on sustainability topics, collaborating with the Employers’ Confederation of Latvia, KPMG Baltic, CSR Latvia, among others. In addition, she has conducted research on sustainability and developed methodologies for measuring and reporting on sustainability. 

Her international experience includes work with the New Orleans Business Alliance in the USA, participation in an international team with Transparency International Latvia, and developing the certification business at BM Certification across the Baltic region, Finland, Russia, and Belarus. Currently, as head of the boutique agency Sustainability Partners Ltd., Agnese’s strengths lie in understanding client needs and finding mutually beneficial solutions—a "win-win" approach. She is convinced that maintaining a balance in business models between profit ambitions, environmental impact, and social responsibility is a challenge that everyone can tackle.
