Hrund Gunnsteinsdóttir is the Director of Festa – Center for Sustainability, as well as a senior consultant at the UN. She is the former Chair of the Technology Development Fund for Innovation in Iceland, a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Expert Network, Yale Greenberg World Fellow, Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum and a Cultural Leader at the World Economic Forum. Hrund is educated at the London School of Economics, the Harvard Kennedy School, Yale University, Oxford Said Business School and the University of Iceland.

Festa is an Icelandic non-profit organisation with almost 200 members, which are combined of Icelandic companies, public organisations, universities, the City of Reykjavik and a few other municipalities. Festa’s motto is “Everything you do makes a difference”. The organisation is a catalyst for change and a bridge builder between and within the public and private sectors and focuses on sustainable development through the SDGs, climate change and sustainability.
