Elva Rakel Jónsdóttir
Elva Rakel Jónsdóttir is the Managing Director of Festa – Center for Sustainability. Elva comes to Festa from The Environmental Agency of Iceland where she was the head of the Department for Climate and Circular Economy. Elva has been the CEO of the Iceland branch of the Nordic Ecolabel Svanurinn for the last ten years.
Festa is an Icelandic non-profit organisation with almost 200 members, which are combined of Icelandic companies, public organisations, universities, the City of Reykjavik and a few other municipalities. Festa’s motto is “Everything you do makes a difference”. The organisation is a catalyst for change and a bridge builder between and within the public and private sectors and focuses on sustainable development through the SDGs, climate change and sustainability.
