Åsa Degerman

Åsa Degerman is a trained economist geographer at the School of Business, Economics and Law in Gothenburg and for the past 25 years has worked with global innovation and business development in R&D heavy industry.
For the past 10 years, she has devoted herself to circular business development. She led Essity's circular project, Tork PaperCircle®, to close the loop for used paper hand towels. And took it from pilot to full scale, launching the service in 15 countries in Europe. Since February 2022, she has been head of OnceMore®, Södra’s investment in sustainable and circular textile pulp. Which creates completely new conditions in the textile and fashion industry through the recycling of blended textile waste that turn into new viscose mixed with renewable forest. Since 2019, Åsa has also been part of the reference group to the Delegation for Circular Economy appointed by the Swedish Government.
