New partnership: Ekobanken

Nordic Circular Hotspot and Ekobanken are glad to announce a new partnership. Ekobanken is also one of the contributors to NCH's circular finance Transition Group, working on the frontlines of the transition to a circular economy within the financial sector.

“Ekobanken is a Swedish cooperative bank that works with money as a tool to change the world into a more sustainable world. Ekobanken is also part of a worldwide movement within value-driven banking – Global Alliance for Banking on Values. And within this movement, it is important to also be part of a network to accelerate the transition to a circular economy. For Ekobanken it is important to act now. Ekobanken believes that the financial industry has an enormous possibility to be part of changing the world into a better one. To have the money flow into the circular economy is key,” states Maria Flock Åhlander, the CEO of Ekobanken.

Ekobanken is an ethical bank that sees money as a social medium that should facilitate people's cooperation and well-being. The benefit to the public and their members is Ekobanken’s main driving force. The money in the bank is invested so that society becomes more ecologically, socially, culturally and financially sustainable. Ekobanken also mainly gives loans to businesses that create social, environmental or cultural added value.

Ekobanken’s ethos to establish a better future is well connected to Nordic Circular Hotspot’s work for a sustainable and circular future. We look forward to this partnership and the continued work of the circular finance transition group!

Welcome Ekobanken!
