World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) 2024 takes place 15th–18th of April in Brussels. This year, the two days of the main programme are followed by two further days of Accelerator Sessions. 17th of April, Nordic Circular Hotspot is hosting a hybrid Nordic Stage with an active programme of Accelerator Sessions — organised in collaboration with the Working Group for Circular Economy of the Nordic Council of Ministers and Nordic Innovation. 9:00–10:15 Circular construction — the Nordic way
As a part of the Nordic Network for Circular Construction, hundreds of experts have gathered to define how circularity could be progressed in the Nordics — and exported elsewhere! At this event, we will present the published Policy Recommendations and convene to discuss their implications and applicability.

10:45–12:00 Platform-driven transition: scaling circular solutions
Platform business models, exemplified by companies like Amazon, have disrupted industries and achieved global scale. This session will discuss how these models, typically serving linear economies, can promote circular and collaborative business models. Experts will explore how circular platforms, influenced by policies, technologies, and trends, can drive the circular economy's growth.

13:00–14:15 Product-service systems and digital product passports
Join us as we explore Product-Service Systems (PSS) as a means to pave the way for circular business and sustainable consumption in the Nordics. Additionally, a Digital Product Passport is required for all products in EU markets in the coming years. Learn how Finnish forerunner companies have piloted DPPs as a new way of bringing together data on product sustainability, raw materials, materials and safety.

14:45–16:00 The winning concept for circularity: public-private partnership
Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of the circular revolution. Prepare to be inspired by Finland’s circular solutions as we unfold the formula of functioning innovation ecosystems and public-private partnerships facilitating scalable, innovative circular solutions which lead to system change. During this session, you will hear about existing solutions from Finland and gain access to toolboxes on how to implement these solutions in other regions and cities, too.

16:30–17:30 Overview of Nordic policies and the impact on circular entrepreneurship
In this session, we launch a new white paper which takes stock of Nordic circular policies. Which countries are leading on the policy front and who needs to catch up? What does this and the upcoming ISO standard for circular economy mean for sustainable value creation and entrepreneurship not only in the Nordics but worldwide?
